Accountability

Accountability: means responsible or obedient. Wow…. Do you know how hard it is for me to be obedient? I was always the one the teacher sent a note home for talking too much in class. You know those collages they make for yearbooks??? Picture it Lexington 1993 first grade, I made the year book desk and all…. In the hall 🤣 for not being obedient. Just trying to prove my point that I am no bueno at obedience. This whole trip around the moon has been no cake walk(<— I made a funny). I have only had myself to be 100% accountable too, but you don’t have to follow in my footsteps. It’s been said once you voice to someone your intentions, whether its going to the gym, cutting out sugar, losing ten pounds, whatever it is that you’ve set your mind too that you will be more proactive at achieving your goal. Why? Because you have someone to hold you accountable. I had Ben who knew my goals and loved me inspite of, except even though he told me what a good job I was doing he was never hard on me when I slacked. Take it from me, you need someone to shake you and say look how far you’ve come don’t look back. Do you know how hard that is to do by yourself??? Yes, I have looked in the mirror and pointed that finger right in my face and said the exact same thing. But hear me ladies, you don’t have to go at this alone. I am here not as your personal drill sergeant, but too keep you focused on why you started. If you have someone in your life that you are comfortable with letting them in, then do it. Let them help and celebrate your victories with you. It is so much easier with support. (Let’s all hold up our glasses) Cheers to saying goodbye to the old us, letting go of the baggage, breaking addictions, accepting our insecurities and loving ourselves flaws and all! Goodnight ladies see y’all tomorrow.

Born and raised in small town USA Lexington, North Carolina more famously known for our BBQ, where our tea is sweet and our accents are sweeter (Oh yeah and you get that good ice, you know the hospital kind) at all our restaurants. If I was a travel agent I would be sure to disclose that, cause that is a selling point to me for sure. Except now, I am on a permanent vacation living at the coast, married to my wonderful husband (Ben) with three handsome boys (Kaleb, Joshua & Chase), a dog (Baloo) and as of yesterday a new fish (Pete). This journey I am on started out as trying to lose weight and ended up with me finding myself. So if you're ready to laugh, cry with me and probably shake your head at my grammar and punctuation you are more than welcome to join in on my shenanigans. All Aboard!
