Sheez, this week has been stressful, exhausting and exhilarating. The “monstrous” storm just scraped by us (Inserting praise hands here) and I came home with all my snacks. Woot woot! Not sure many people can say that after reading everyone’s Facebook post. When I had moments of weakness or boredom I would remind myself that, that was all it was. Did you stop and ask yourself that? Is this snack sonething I really need? Am I really hungry or am I bored? The majority of the time, that is all we need to do to refocus. I have had a couple people say you are mentally stronger than me. Ugh no! I just know where I have came from and know where I want to be. Even if I’m stalled and not losing a pound, I remember those numbers are way better than what they were. I’m not gaining, I’m maintaining. That’s one of the hardest things to do. You have to dig deep and find that inner strength. Why did you start? How far have you come? Don’t let emotions or food win. You put on your mental armour and go to battle. You’ll thank yourself later!

Born and raised in small town USA Lexington, North Carolina more famously known for our BBQ, where our tea is sweet and our accents are sweeter (Oh yeah and you get that good ice, you know the hospital kind) at all our restaurants. If I was a travel agent I would be sure to disclose that, cause that is a selling point to me for sure. Except now, I am on a permanent vacation living at the coast, married to my wonderful husband (Ben) with three handsome boys (Kaleb, Joshua & Chase), a dog (Baloo) and as of yesterday a new fish (Pete). This journey I am on started out as trying to lose weight and ended up with me finding myself. So if you're ready to laugh, cry with me and probably shake your head at my grammar and punctuation you are more than welcome to join in on my shenanigans. All Aboard! View more posts
